The Family Quest
Branson, Missouri
Do as I say, not as I do
My family and I have returned from a two week trip to Europe and we had a great time. However, during the trip I caught myself not following some of the advice that I’ve been sharing in this newsletter. The first head shaking moment was before we even flew out. I wanted to make sure we got through TSA because last time at the same airport, we faced a two hour long security line. Folks, six hours is too early. The check in doesn’t open until 3-4 hours before the flight. Before the rubber left the ground, I had to deal with the dreaded “Nice job Dad!”. The helpful hint this week is very simple, if your flight is international, three hour arrival to the airport is sufficient. Domestic flights require a two hour buffer zone before the flight.

When shopping for a hotel, don’t focus on the 5 star or 1 star reviews. Look at the 3 star reviews because these are usually the most honest and will have both the pros and cons about the accommodation.
