The Family Quest
Burlington, Vermont
Prior planning is key
In previous newsletters, the message has been “embrace the unplanned moments”. So when the title of this post is about prior planning, there is a sense of hypocrisy. Here’s what I mean. On our family’s upcoming vacation overseas, we have one thing planned for each day. Some of these might be all day excursions, while others are a few hours. However, there’s a goal for every day and that is the starting point. Plan out one goal for each day (excursion or simply hanging out on the beach). Once that goal is set, you then have the opportunity to find those unplanned moments that mean so much.
